write your letter!

thanks for all the positive comments about my letter. I highly recommend everyone write one, it just felt great. I must have started about 5 different posts the last few days and was really struggling with them but then this one just came pouring out of me. Only took a few minutes to write. And I felt so much better afterwards. When I posted mine, there was only 24 letters there…hopefully we can really increase that number.

In p-word updates, I’m 12w3d. Some people say I’m out of the first trimester. I’m waiting for the actual end of it, but I have to admit that I’m starting to feel more secure with all this. I’ve got tons of growing pains and feel the round ligament pain on my right side at least a few times a day. Not feeling better just yet though. In fact, my 24 hr round the clock nausea has gotten worse in the last 2 weeks.

I’ve started to sport a pretty serious bump, way too much the B.ella Band. I caved and went m-clothes shopping this weekend…and actually wore the jeans right out of the store. They were just so much more comfortable then having the zipper digging into my stomach and the back riding down. One question though…why the hell are those clothes so much freaking money? They’ve got such a monopoly going on it’s crazy. I went with my soon to be SIL whom I just love and one of her other bridesmaids who just had a baby, I thought she’d have some good advice. First we went out to lunch and when she saw me she talked up my cute little bump and how I was definitely ready for the m-clothes. For once, I actually enjoyed it. But then, while we were eating, she asked how far along I was. When I said 12w, she spat out her food and asked if I was having twins. When I tensely said no, she said she would have put me at 20 weeks, not 12. I didn’t even know what to say. Maybe I’ll get brave enough to post a pic, but there is no way it’s a 20 week belly. Plus I saw her when she was 21 weeks and she was a f-ing house! She was helpful when we went shopping, but I just could not believe that comment!

Now everyone go write your letter!

Old Navy at Montgomery Mall carries Maternity clothes as well as online. They are very affordable and good quality.

I think Target has some pretty reasonable maternity clothes too. I have been meaning to write my letter. I will try, I promise. Yes, show us pictures. Everyone always says that women look bigger than they really are. I have no idea why that is, but I have noticed it quite a lot.

Why are people so verbally retarded! I doubt that you are Ginormous! Glad you feel better after writing that letter! I do hope that nausea goes away very soon. I do think that you should post pics!! It will make you feel much better!

I think Farah said it best when she said “verbally retarded.” I mean seriously! Anyway, glad to hear you took the plunge and got some maternity clothes. Of corse, you could always post some belly pics and let us be the judge. 🙂

Screw her and her twins comment. I haven’t even seen you since you’ve become pregnant, and I’m sure you look adorable.A bunch of Gap and Old Navy stores in our area sell maternity clothes, but not all of them so you need to go online or call to see which locations have them. For work, Ann Taylor Loft also has maternity clothes. Regular price they are outrageously expensive, but if you can get them on sale, they are great. I scope them out at the store, then stalk them on the website for them to go on sale and get them that way. Please do post a picture! It’s been too long since I’ve seen you (the cookie exchange?) and I’d love to ooh and aah over the bump!

Glad you got your first pair of M-jeans! Love that you wore them out of the store! I have gotten a few things at Old Navy, Gap, Mimi and Motherhood. The stuff from Old Navy and Motherhood are definitely most reasonably priced. I can’t believe your SIL’s friend said that you had a 20-week belly. Quite insensitive. 12w3d is GREAT!!!!!

Ebay’s got some good maternity clothes that are still in the package. Might save you some mula.

  8. Michell replied:

What a crappy comment for your SIL’s friend to make. I do think you should post belly pics. Glad the m-clothing shopping went well.

  9. Deborah replied:

I’ve found that on craigslist, people sell their entire wardrobe of maternity clothes. They usually post what their due date was so you get a sense of what will fit.And wow, that was a totally insensitive comment! Having never seen you in person, I don’t know if this applies, but things to keep in mind: short people tend to show sooner. So do thin people. And all sorts of people say ridiculous things. 🙂

Wow, I can’t believe how far along you already are.I’m definitely going to write my letter.
